Filter Hood

Spring Air Systems commercial kitchen ventilators have been designed and constructed in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA-96), and listed by Underwriters Laboratories of Canada and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. In addition the Spring Air Systems ventilator will meet all local, provincial, and state code requirements.

Each Spring Air Systems ventilator is individually constructed to suit the space limitations of any commercial kitchen. The Spring Air Systems ventilator is fabricated from stainless steel with a No. 4 finish with all the edges ground and polished. All ventilators are manufactured to stringent quality standards and are guaranteed to enhance the appearance of any commercial kitchen

Our filter hoods are available with a four types of baffle filters, a dead weight fusible link fire damper or no exhaust fire damper, seven hood types and five make up air options. Accessories include:

  • incandescent light fixtures
  • fluorescent light fixtures
  • service chases
  • enclosure panels
  • exhaust ducts out the back
  • supply ducts out the front
  • back air spaces
  • end air spaces
  • front tapers
  • pre-piped fire suppression
  • start/stop control panels mounted on the hood or remote on a wall

The baffle filter types include:

  • eyebrow

Makeup air options include:

  • front grille discharge
  • s/s perforated front discharge
  • back discharge
  • s/s perforated front downdischarge and compensating.
  • compensating

The baffle removes grease, dirt and lint through centrifugal force. The filter is removed from the hood and washed manually or in a dishwasher. The interior of the filter hood should also be wiped down periodically with a damp cloth.
