Each Spring Air Systems ventilator is individually constructed to suit the space limitations of any commercial kitchen. The Spring Air Systems ventilator is fabricated from stainless steel with a No. 4 finish with all the edges ground and polished. All ventilators are manufactured to stringent quality standards and are guaranteed to enhance the appearance of any commercial kitchen
The Rev-Low hood is a revolutionary idea in commercial kitchen ventilator design. Rev-Low allows the exhaust flow to be field adjusted from 100 CFM/ft to 450 CFM/ft over each appliance without effecting the overall efficiency of the grease extractor. Your kitchen will exhaust the lowest minimum required to ventilate the appliances located under the hood. After your kitchen is complete, appliances can be relocated, added, or removed from under the hood! It's a simple adjustment to fine-tune your ventilator to provide excellent smoke capture with maximum grease extraction.
Our Rev-low hoods are available in "H" hot water wash, "C" cold-water spray, and "D" dry extractor, with three fire damper arrangements, two hood types and four make up air options. The total exhaust must correspond to the minimum allowable per the Spring Air Systems UL and ULC Listing. Check with factory or go directly to the UL website.

The type "C" grease extractor has the highest grease extraction efficiency available in a water wash ventilator.
The contaminated exhaust air enters a high velocity inlet slot (that runs the length of the hood) and flows through a transition zone to the VORTEX CHAMBER. The cold-water spray manifold sprays a fine, uniformed cold-water mist into the path of the exhaust air. The cold-water spray causes the grease particles to cool, congeal and coagulate forming larger grease globules. The larger heavier globules are more readily removed through centrifugal force as the exhaust air accelerates through a complete 270-degree turn around the VORTEX BAFFLE. The grease, dirt and lint are deposited on the PRIMARY VARIABLE FLOW BAFFLE and the VORTEX BAFFLE. The PRIMARY VARIABLE FLOW BAFFLE is also adjustable along the length of the grease extractor to provide varying exhaust airflow. The sloping VORTEX BAFFLE drains the collected grease to the end of the ventilator into a grease trough.
The type "H" grease extractor is a high efficiency water wash grease extractor.
The contaminated air enters the high velocity inlet slot (that runs the length of the hood) and flows through the transition zone to the VORTEX CHAMBER. The exhaust air accelerates through a complete 270-degree turn around the VORTEX BAFFLE. Centrifugal force causes the grease, dirt and lint particles to deposit on the PRIMARY VARIABLE FLOW BAFFLE and the VORTEX BAFFLE. The PRIMARY VARIABLE FLOW BAFFLE adjustable for varying exhaust flows along the length of the extractor. The sloping VORTEX BAFFLE drains the collected liquid grease to the end of the ventilator and into the grease trough.
The type "D" grease extractor is a high efficiency dry grease extractor.
The contaminated exhaust air enters the high velocity inlet slot (that runs the length of the hood) and flows through the transition zone to the VORTEX CHAMBER. The exhaust air accelerates through a complete 270-degree turn around the VORTEX BAFFLE. Centrifugal force causes the grease, dirt and lint particles to deposit on the PRIMARY VARIABLE FLOW BAFFLE and VORTEX BAFFLE. The sloping VORTEX BAFFLE drains collected grease to the end of the ventilator into the grease cup H. The type "D" grease extractor removes grease, dirt and lint through centrifugal force. The grease extractor chamber is washed manually by removing the front access door and wiping the interior with a damp cloth.

The Rev-Low hood provides the following:
- Maximum Grease Extraction
The grease, dirt and lint is deposited safely in the grease extractor, not the exhaust fan and ductwork. This provides safer operation and reduces exhaust duct and exhaust fan cleaning requirements
- Automatic Daily Wash
The water wash grease extractor wash system is designed to minimize detergent and hot water demand and reduce maintenance requirements.
- Second Line Fire Suppression
The Spring Air Systems grease extractor with exhaust fire damper is designed to impede the spread of a grease fire from the kitchen, through the exhaust duct, per the UL/ULC listings.
- Minimum Kitchen Exhaust
Low exhaust air requirements reduces the initial capital cost of exhaust fans, make up air systems and ductwork, and significantly decreases the annual heating and cooling energy costs.
